Dr. Muhammad Haroon is an Assistant Professor at Iqra University, chak Shahzad campus, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is also working as an acting deputy head of computing and technology department at Iqra University. He received his Ph.D degree in Computer Science from University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS - AAR), Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He received his master degree in Computer Science in 2009 from Strayer University, Washington, D.C, United States of America. He is author of number of research publications in international journals or conferences proceedings. His major research interests involve Gesture Recognition, Human pose estimation, Human computer interaction, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining.

With a noteworthy 3-year stint as a Research Associate in the Communications over Sensors (ComSens) Research Laboratory within the Department of Computer Science at CUI, Islamabad, she gained valuable expertise. Presently, she holds the position of Lecturer at the Department of Computing and Technology, Iqra University, Chakshahzad Campus, Islamabad, Pakistan.
